How to set up IFTTT
If you have completed this in a previous step you can skip this

Go to https://ifttt.com/join

Sign up using your email address

You should now be setup you can continue with the steps below

Set up Applet​
​

Go to https://ifttt.com/create
-
Click on the plus symbol next to the word "This"
-
Search services for "Webhooks", click on its icon and then "Connect"

Click "Receive a web request"
-
Under event name type log_steps and ensure there are no spaces at the start or end of the text
-
Press "Create trigger"
-
Click on the plus symbol next to the word "That"
-
Search services for "Google sheets" click on its icon and then "Connect"
-
Sign in to your Google account you are using for the Nutrition tracking sheet and select allow
-
Select "Add row to spreadsheet"
-
Under spreadsheet name type steps_rawdata and ensure there are no spaces at the start or end of the text

Under formatted row remove all text in the box and paste the following text {{Value1}} |||{{Value2}}
-
Under drive folder path remove all text in the box and paste the following text Nutrition Tracking/rawdata
-
Ensure there are no spaces at the start or end of the pasted text
-
Click create action and then finish

If you have your Webhook URL from setting up weight_rawdata you can skip the following steps (1-4)

Click on "Documentation" in the top right hand corner
-
Here you will find your Webhook URL under "Make a POST or GET web request to:"

Copy this URL and send it to your iPhone/write it down for a future step

The following steps should be completed on your iPhone
​
How to set up the Shortcuts

The shortcuts app should already be downloaded on iPhone's running IOS 13. If you have deleted this app or you can't find it please go to the app store, search "Shortcuts" and download the app with this icon...​

Open Settings on your iPhone

Tap Shortcuts.

Tap the switch for Allow Untrusted Shortcuts so it's in the green 'on' position. (This is so that you can use a shortcut I have made and will not do anything without your permission)

On iPhone's web browser search tiny.cc/log_sleep or https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/0e995d837e754696b2e8becd80b579c4

Click on "Get shortcut" and it should open up your shortcuts app

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Add Untrusted Shortcut"

Now you need the Webhook URL you obtained in the previous step. Paste this link in the text box asking for your Webhook URL and click "Continue"

Click "Done"
-
Press the "My shortcuts" tab
-
Find "Log Sleep" an press the three dots in the right hand corner
-
Press the share icon on the bottom row (see image below)
-
Scroll down and click "Add to home screen"

Click "Add"
-
Exit out of the shortcuts app

The following steps should be completed on your Laptop/Computer.

How to set up sleep_rawdata
-
Go to your sheet "sleep_rawdata" (this can be found in My drive -> Nutrition Tracking -> rawdata -> sleep_rawdata)

Click on "Share" in the top-right corner and select "Get shareable link"

Copy this URL and open your "Nutrition Tracking" google sheet (found in My drive -> Nutrition Tracking)

Click on the "Settings" tab and paste the URL in the box adjacent to "sleep_rawdata

Choose how you would like to track your sleep below

Pillow App
Pros:
-
Free app (Pillow)
-
Tracks your sleep by using microphone and accelerometer
-
Set your desired wake up time for each day or track your sleep without alarms.
Cons:
-
You will need to press start on the app each night before going to sleep
-
Your phone needs to be next to you during the night

Apple Watch
Pros:​

Tracks your sleep using the in accelerometer your apple watch
-
Pillow App (Free) or AutoSleep ($4.49) or Sleep++ (Free)
-
Set your desired wake up time for each day or track your sleep without alarms.
Cons:
-
You will need to wear your Apple watch during the night
-
Charging your Apple watch while you get ready for bed/in the morning may be required
Apple Bedtime
Pros:

Uses Apple bedtime and is built into the clock app
-
Tracks your sleep from when you stop using your phone after a certain time at night
-
Uses Apple alarms

Cons:

Only one alarm time is able to be set for everyday you would like to track your sleep
