
Manual Weight Entry (Body analysis scales)

Set up Google Form

Go to https://drive.google.com/open?id=1DQ0yVbe408CL6AJYOzyNt_TD1IRDnR-2

Right click on the "Log_weight (Body analysis scales)" Google form

Select "Make a copy"
-
Go to "My drive" and find "Copy of Log_weight" (You can move this into your Nutrition Tracking folder or leave it in "My Drive")

Open "copy of Log_weight (Body analysis scales)"

Click on the "Responses" tab and then click on the three dots next to the green sheets icon.

Click "Select response destination" -> "Select existing sheet" and then the blue select button.

Choose your file named "weight_rawdata" and click "Select"

Back on your google form, select the three dots in the top right corner next to the send button and press "Preview"

This will open to the page you will be inputting your daily weight in.

Type any number into this box to test the Google Form and then click "Submit.

Go to your file "weight_rawdata" (located in My Drive -> Nutrition Tracking -> rawdata)

Check the number you inputted to test shows up under the "How much do you weigh?" column.

If the number is not there go back to your Google Form and re-select the "Response destination" (Steps 9-13)

If the number you entered is under the "How much do you weigh?" column, Click on the downwards pointing arrow on the right side of "Sheet1" and then press "Delete"

Then Click on the downwards pointing arrow on the right side of "Form responses" and then press "Rename"

Type in Sheet1 (without any spaces) and then press enter.

Click on "Share" in the top-right corner and select "Get shareable link"

Copy this URL and open your "Nutrition Tracking" google sheet (can be found in My drive -> Nutrition Tracking)

Click on the "Settings" tab and paste the URL in the box adjacent to "weight_rawdata"

Under the Goal settings heading in the "Settings" tab make sure the check boxes next to "My scales track body fat" and "My scales track muscle mass" are both ticked.

Click on the "Dashboard" tab

On the left side of your large weight tracking graph in the darker grey area next to the number 25 you should see a small plus symbol

Click on the plus symbol to unhide "Fat Mass" and "Muscle mass"

Tick the check boxes under "Fat mass" and "Muscle mass" for this data to be shown on your large weight tracking graph

Click on the "DataTable" tab

Above the column D label you should see a small plus symbol

Click on the plus symbol to unhide "BF (kg)" and "Muscle mass (kg)"

Repeat with the plus above column P

​How to set the Google Form as an easily accessible button

Go back to your "Log Body Weight" Google form.

Click "SEND" and select the link option on the right side of the mail icon. Below is your Google Form URL.

Copy this URL and send it to the device you will have with you when you weigh yourself daily (i.e iPhone, Android device...).

Go to https://www.howtogeek.com/196087/how-to-add-websites-to-the-home-screen-on-any-smartphone-or-tablet/ and complete the steps to add your Google Form URL to your chosen device home screen for easy access.

Your weight tracking should now be set up. Everyday at the same time when you step on the scales press the icon on your device to take you to your Google Form "Log Body Weight". Type in your weight, fat mass and lean mass and press "Submit". Your weight will be automatically logged into your Nutrition Tracking spreadsheet.
