
Use Apple watch to track sleep

Go to the app store and search "Pillow"

Download the free app with the same icon as above

Open the Watch app on your iPhone

Locate “Pillow”

Tap on the “Install” button.

Open Pillow on your iPhone and when prompted turn all categories on for "Apple health" as well as enabling "Microphone" "Notifications" and "Motion" (These are used to track your sleep)

Open your Apple Health app

Click the browse icon on the bottom row

In the search bar type "Sleep Analysis"

Click on "Sleep Analysis" scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Data sources and access:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and make sure "Pillow" is at the top of the list

If Pillow is not at the top of the "Data sources:" list press the edit button in the top right corner and drag Pillow to the top of that list

You have now finished setting up your sleep tracking!
It is recommended you charge your Apple watch while getting ready for bed and/or in the morning as you will be wearing the watch overnight

To start a sleep session with and use Pillows alarm:

Open Pillow on the iPhone

Set the desired alarm time and leave the Pillow on the iPhone running (do not press the side button or close the app)

Open Pillow on the Apple Watch and tap “Start”

Make sure “Sound rec.” and/or “Alarm” is checked

Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap “Next” to start recording your sleep session.

To record a session using only the Apple Watch:

Open Pillow on the Apple Watch

Tap “Start”
-
De-select “Sound rec.” and “Alarm”

Scroll down and tap “Next” to start your sleep session.

To stop the sleep session that you started recording with your Apple Watch follow these steps:

Open Pillow on your Apple Watch

Swipe horizontally to bring up the “Stop” and “Snooze” buttons

Tap the “Stop” button to stop the session or the “Snooze” button to snooze the alarm.

When you tap “Stop“ make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are connected via Bluetooth or Wifi.

After waking up in the morning and stopping your sleep session click on the Log Sleep app on your home screen and it will automatically send last nights sleep duration to the Nutrition Tracking spreadsheet.
